Nurturing Communities of Hope
Centering God’s presence in the heart of community
Service Description
RETREAT DESCRIPTION: Women's Weekend Retreat God calls us into community, yet community is often more complicated than we expect. Many people carry both a desire for connection and a hesitation shaped by past experiences. Community can feel meaningful and life-giving, while also bringing memories of disappointment, strain, or relationships that have been difficult to sustain. It is not always easy to know how to move toward it. This retreat creates space to bring that tension before God. Through prayer, quiet reflection, and shared practices, we will take time to consider what it means to live in relationship with one another in a way that reflects God’s heart. Rather than focusing only on past experiences or personal preferences, we will begin to listen for how God may be shaping our understanding of community and inviting us to participate in it. The retreat also offers space to experience community within the gathering itself. In simple and unforced ways, participants are WHAT YOUR REGISTRATION INCLUDES: • A private room with a full bath A quiet, personal space where you don’t have to manage anyone else’s needs — allowing rest, reflection, and prayer to happen without interruption. • Five nourishing, farm-to-table meals Meals prepared with care so you can be fully present, without needing to think about planning, cooking, or cleanup. • Guided group sessions balanced with unstructured time Teaching and prayer offered alongside generous space for silence and personal reflection, honoring different rhythms and needs. • Prayer practices designed for real life Practices that support healing, attentive listening, and deeper connection with God. Practices you can return to long after the retreat ends. CONTINUING THE JOURNEY: As part of this retreat, participants are invited to a two-hour follow-up gathering titled. This session is designed to support the integration of the retreat into daily life. Together, we will reflect on what was received during the retreat and explore simple, sustainable rhythms that help nurture attentiveness to God beyond the retreat setting. Details for this follow-up gathering will be shared after the retreat.
