Our Story
From Healing to Calling

Becoming Still Ministries began with a quiet but life-changing encounter with God. Our founder, Toni Tompkins, found herself carrying the weight of deep emotional pain rooted in childhood trauma. In the middle of that brokenness, she didn’t find a quick fix. She discovered God’s steady presence. It wasn’t loud or immediate. It was gentle, consistent, and healing. Over time, that quiet space became where healing began.
What unfolded wasn’t just personal restoration, it was an invitation to walk with others who were also seeking hope, healing, and a deeper connection with God. Becoming Still Ministries was born from that invitation.
Today, we create peaceful, welcoming spaces where others can pause, breathe deeply, and experience the renewing love of God. Whether through retreats, spiritual direction, or prayer practices that help you listen for God’s voice, our desire is to come alongside you on your own journey of becoming still—so you can live more fully in God’s love and purpose.
“God met me in the stillness, and everything changed.”
—Toni Tompkins
