Making Room for Discernment
Service Description
Many people seek to follow God faithfully and desire greater clarity along the way. Along that journey, questions naturally arise about how we listen for God and how guidance takes shape over time. Discernment is often learned gradually—through prayer, attention, and lived experience—yet few of us are given space to reflect on how we listen for God or how guidance takes shape over time. Making Room for Discernment is a free, three-week class that offers space to slow down and attend more carefully to the ways we listen for God’s guidance. Together, we’ll explore: • What discernment is and how it differs from decision-making • How prayer shapes our ability to listen • Simple prayer practices that help you build a discernment process of your own The focus of this class is not finding quick answers, but learning how prayer, daily life, and reflection work together to form a way of listening that grows over time. You’re welcome to join us as we make room to practice the spiritual discipline of discernment.
