What If God Is Already Speaking?

I’ve never heard an audible voice from God.
I don’t have dreams or visions.
And for a long time, that made me wonder:
Was God speaking to me at all?
I thought hearing from God meant dramatic moments.
Clear signs.
Specific answers.
But over time, I’ve learned something different.
God often speaks in ways that are quiet,
subtle,
and deeply personal.
Sometimes it’s a thought I can’t shake.
Sometimes it’s an instinct that nudges me to slow down or look again.
Sometimes it’s a moment in scripture that feels like it was written just for today.
Other times, it’s something I write in my journal that I didn’t know I needed to say.
Here’s what I’ve come to believe:
God may already be speaking to us,
but we don’t always recognize it.
We’re often listening for a sound,
when God might be speaking through a feeling.
Or we’re watching for a sign,
when God is already whispering through a question we can’t let go.
So what if…
God is already speaking to you?
Maybe through your journal.
Through a conversation that stirred something.
Through the restlessness you’re trying to explain.
Or the peace that catches you off guard.
You don’t have to be sure.
You don’t have to get it right.
But what if this week, you paused to ask:
God, are You speaking, and am I learning to notice?
I'd love to keep exploring this together.
One quiet moment at a time.
