Each gathering stands on its own, and you’re free to join for one or to walk with us through the full season. If you join later in the season, you’ll also have the option to access recordings from earlier gatherings.

This Season’s Theme Finding Our Way with God: Exploring Purpose Together

This season of The Listening Place is a shared journey of exploring purpose as we walk with God in real life. We’ll gather as a community to bring our questions, our experiences, and our stories into God’s presence, learning to stay attentive to how God is already meeting us along the way. This season offers space to walk with God and with one another as our sense of purpose continues to take shape over time.

This Season’s Gatherings

This season includes three monthly gatherings that explore purpose as a lived journey with God. You’re welcome to join for one gathering or for the full series.

April Gathering - Reframing Purpose, Finding Our Way with God

This gathering creates space to gently notice the ways we’ve come to think about purpose and calling, especially the ideas that may feel narrow, heavy, or pressurized. Together, we’ll reflect on where those assumptions may have come from and begin to open up a more spacious way of understanding calling as a lived relationship with God rather than something we have to get right or solve. This gathering offers room to loosen what may be weighing on us and to begin relating to calling with more freedom, trust, and openness.

May Gathering - Curiosity and Aliveness: Noticing Where God Is Already at Work

This gathering invites us to explore questions of purpose by approaching our own lives with curiosity rather than evaluation. Together, we’ll create space to notice where we feel a sense of life, energy, or quiet interest in this season. We’ll practice paying attention to these movements within us as a way of noticing how God may already be present and at work in the ordinary rhythms of our days. Instead of rushing toward answers, we’ll stay with what we notice, allowing our understanding of purpose to take shape over time as we listen with God.

June Gathering - Discerning Purpose in Everyday Life

This gathering focuses on learning a gentle, repeatable way of listening with God around purpose in everyday life. Together, we’ll practice a simple way of paying attention to God’s presence and invitations as they show up in ordinary moments, decisions, and experiences. We’ll be invited to remain in an ongoing conversation with God about our lives. This gathering offers space to practice attentiveness and to grow more comfortable listening with God over time, supported by shared presence and reflection.
